I want to be healthy. Yes, this is a blog to keep track of my weight, but it's more than that. I like to post pictures of outfits & cute houses. I used to have bulimia and I guess you can say I recovered, now I am taking on B.E.D. I'm not dieting, I am intuitive eating.

I am a sixteen year old girl and my vow is to never be unhealthy again. My whole life I've been the fat girl, I am changing that once and for all. My main hope is to be able to join my school's tennis team before I graduate in 2013. This is my battle, not yours - so please don't tell me how to run my life. Thank you.

Q: What do you post, I thought this was JUST a weight loss blog?
A: I post weight loss related things, exercise plans, healthy food, “fitspo” images, fashion / outfits i like, cute houses, shows I fangirl over (Glee, Psych, PLL, Criminal Minds, etc), wishlists + other things. This blog is NOT just for fitness.

Q: Are you thinspo or fitblr?
A: Neither. I’m a body positive blog that focuses on getting to know my body. I’m currently focusing on inductive eating (see my posts tagged “intuitive eating”). I do post pictures of tiny girls at times, but because I like their outfits most of the time. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO MY TAGS. That will say why I’m posting/reblogging something.

UGW: 130 > NO LONGER 117! I just feel like I’ll be healthier at 130, plus if I’m not happy I can continue to lose fat / build up muscle until I am satisfied.

Q: Diet / exercise plan?
A: Honestly - excuse the ~preachiness mode I’m about to go into & the length of this answer - it’s not the exercise that’s changed me, it’s the eating. As you might know, I have B.E.D. I still have a hard time with it, but over the past whatever months I’ve started trying to really manage it, I’ve lost so much weight. Back in November (?) when I made this blog, I basically refused to acknowledge I had another ED. The girls on here made me realize I’m not the only one out there, that’s it’s okay to admit to having B.E.D. That was the first step. Then, as you might have also known, I started “intuitive eating”. The way I know the eating right is what’s effected my weight loss the most is because in April I didn’t exercise all month (aside from walking to and from places), but I ate SUPER healthy. Then during May I exercised, but I let myself binge a lot. I lost about 10lbs in April, I gained about 2 in May. 

The only exercises I do are:

  • I walk places instead of driving to them.
  • 2x a week I go to the gym and I go on the elliptical for 30 mins, the bike for 20 mins. I’m trying to start lifting weights there.
  • I dance in my room, but I haven’t been since I hurt my knee badly. I’m getting back into ~the swing of it though (heheh, get it?). 
  • Occasionally: Jump rope / swimming / 30ds

Q: How do I lose weight on X spot, but keep X?
A: Simple answer? You can’t, really. There’s no such thing as spot weight loss / fat loss and you can’t start “toning” until you lose enough fat in an area. Whilst trying to lose fat, it will leave wherever it chooses, not because you worked a certain area hard enough.  That’s why you might see some people who ride bikes as their main exercise have bigger legs (despite the fact their legs will be bigger b/cos of muscle) and super tiny stomachs or vice versa. It’s up to your body, not you.
