Coconut cream mask Soften a large chunk of coconut cream in your hands and massage into hair. Wrap your head in a warm towel and leave it on for an hour. Wash out with a gentle shampoo. Egg mask Beat two full eggs with 2 tablespoons of water. Apply to clean, damp hair, massaging in well. Leave for 10 – 15 minutes and then wash out with mild shampoo. Banana smoothie for hair – not for drinking!
Mix 1 mashed banana, 1 full egg, 3 tablespoons of honey, 3 tablespoons of milk and 5 tablespoons of olive oil. Make sure it’s well combined and then apply to hair. Leave for 15 – 30 minutes and wash out with a gentle shampoo.
Ever since I ruined my hair by dying it so much, and straightening it every day, i’ve regretted it! I really long to have beautiful, flowing locks, but i’m stuck at a sort of, mid-point. I’ve compiled a list of tips (or rules even!) from various places that i’m gonna try to stick to in order to get the lovely hair I lust for! I thought i’d share them with you:
Avoid all heat treatments like the plague. Blow dryers, straighteners, curlers..all of them!
Reduce the number of times you wash your hair a week.
No commercial dyes! These contain ammonia and break down the hair shaft. If you’re looking for another colour, try henna instead!
Never brush or comb your hair when it’s wet.
Do not use bad quality combs and brushes, cheap barrettes and hair accessories, and ponytail holders with metal joins. Instead, you should use wide-toothed combs, and even consider not using a brush at all!
Trim regularly to avoid split ends.
Your hair reflects the overall condition of your body! If your body is healthy and well nourished, your hair will be amazing.
You can maximize your genetic growth cycle through taking the proper blend of amino acids and B-vitamins, including B-6, biotin, Inositol and folic acid.
Eliminate or cut back on smoking and caffiene.
Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles.
Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair (I like this method!).
